It’s nice to see companies who have the bucks and smarts to get to know their consumers….and ACT on what they learn!
MediaPost.com published an article about Sony’s latest consumer engagement platform. They are acting on consumer research information they gathered; as it turns out, Latinos (particularly Mexicans living in the USA) consider Sony to be the #1 trustworthy and best overall brand in 2005.
To capitalize and build even greater brand loyalty among this group, Sony is now offering shipping to Mexico for products being bought in America, in their ‘Sony Para tu País’ (Sony for your Country) program. Of course its being launched during the holiday season so Mexicans and Latinos can buy Sony gifts for their relatives back home. I think it’s great Sony is doing this, not only because I am Mexican; but because big companies like this tend to have huge amount of information they rarely do something about. Good job!
