Brandcurve - branding and marketing

Good Brands = Good Employee Candidates ??

I’m still undecided. I believe there are good employees in whatever company or brand you look into. Sure, branding internally in a company is not a light subject –by any means-, but to believe that only good brands have great talent is a bit far fetched; at least in my opinion.

On one side, sure; good and important global brands tend to attract a very well respected number of excellent candidates. But I don’t think this is the key issue when speaking about the internal aspect of branding. For me, internal branding starts with actual employees, learning what to communicate to them to align them to the branding efforts is where the solution lies.

Although in many companies internal branding is often managed by the HR department, marketers and branding specialists should be the ones to create and even manage these efforts. This is the most effective way to engage and align employees and workers to the standards, goals, mission, vision, and any other guideline the company has set. Even servicing strategies, customer care, physical installations, and other design issues should be part of the branding efforts.

Once all of this has been accomplished and is continually being regarded and presented to employees, they will have a strong adherence to the brand values, and therefore create external branding by mere inertia.
