Can Gimmicks Drive Brand Awareness?
Marketers are constantly trying new gimmicks to drive brand awareness and sales. SnoreStop has joined the bandwagon with its newest brand awareness promotion.
To help promote its snore-prevention medication, SnoreStop is sending couples out on the streets of Los Angeles wearing pajamas that say, “Our bedroom is sponsored by SnoreStop. Save your marriage the way we saved ours.”
SnoreStop’s marketing and sales team thinks the promotional gimmick will make people stop, look and laugh thereby boosting brand awareness. What do you think? Do gimmicks like this really work?
