Apple and AT&T Launch New iPhone Commercials

by Susan Gunelius on June 7th, 2007

Apple and AT&T launched a series of commercials earlier this week to announce that the iPhone is finally coming.  Yes, on June 29, 2007, the highly anticipated iPhone will at long last be available.  In keeping with Apple’s push to be known as an innovative, cool brand, the commercials are already creating quite a buzz.  They’re simple, interesting and definitely leave viewers wanting more.  At least, that’s what Apple is hoping for.  MacRumors reports they’ve got 3 million iPhones ready to pass into consumers’ eager hands on launch day, and AT&T hired temporary workers to act as crowd control at AT&T stores.  What do you think about Apple and AT&T’s aggressive sales predictions?

In case you haven’t seen the commercials yet, they’re easy to find on YouTube.

1 opinion for Apple and AT&T Launch New iPhone Commercials

iPhone ads are slick. they’re the exact same format as the Nano ads, and leave me with the same “omg, I need one NOW” feeling.

it’s brilliant that they advertise it that way, so that they don’t implicitly pigeonhole themselves into a demographic. everyone is included in the wow factor

barring horrendous reviews (tactile feedback issues, screen fragility, operating speed) …I think this is a hit for apple, especially when the price dips when the second generation rolls around.
